A Year of Hours Saved, Careers Built and Global Impact

As we move into the final stretch of the year, it feels like the right moment to pause and look at what has been built, supported, and made possible through our Ubuntu Freelancers community. Behind every project delivered and every hour logged is a story of collaboration, trust, and growth.

This month, we are taking a moment to reflect on the impact created across our clients, our freelancers, and the global network we continue to serve. These figures are more than metrics. They are proof of what happens when people choose to work differently and more intentionally.

Hours Our Clients Got Back

This year, our freelancers collectively logged more than 55,310 hours, giving business owners the space to think, plan, and grow rather than being trapped in their admin.

For many of our clients, this shift has meant more consistent operations, healthier workloads, and the freedom to focus on the work that matters most. When support is reliable, structured, and specialised, the entire pace of a business changes.

Work Created for South Africans

We connected 67 South Africans to international work opportunities this year.

This remains one of the achievements we are most proud of. South Africa holds an extraordinary pool of talent, and too often it goes unseen or undervalued. By opening global doors, we help local freelancers earn fairly, contribute meaningfully, and build long-lasting careers within ethical, people-first outsourcing environments.

Payment on Time, Every Time

Our freelancers have received 100% on-time payment every month, even when client payments run late. We honour our commitments because stability is not optional, it is essential. When our team knows they can rely on us, they deliver their best work, and our clients benefit from a dedicated, motivated, long-term workforce.

Beyond the Numbers

This year was not only about hours logged or projects completed. It was about people.

94% of our clients renewed their contracts.

82% of our freelancers stayed with us for more than a year, showing the strength and stability of our community.

And more than 1,200 hours were invested in training and development through the Ubuntu Academy.

11 freelancers stepped into senior or specialised roles within client teams, demonstrating that freelancing can be a meaningful career path with real progression.

98% of clients rated their Ubuntu freelancer as excellent in communication and reliability, a reminder that when people feel supported, they show up fully and consistently.

Growth for us has always meant progress for everyone in our ecosystem. Clients. Freelancers. And the communities their work influences and uplifts.

These numbers represent something simple yet powerful. Businesses had the space to breathe. Freelancers had the opportunity to grow. And together, we built a year defined by trust, collaboration, and meaningful impact across borders.

Global Impact Across Six Countries

This year, Ubuntu Freelancers supported clients across the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and the Netherlands. Our footprint continues to grow as our reputation for quality and reliability spreads internationally.

What stands out most is not just where we work, but how we work.

Our freelancers consistently adapt to different operational styles, systems, and client expectations, delivering specialised support that matches each organisation’s pace and standards.

As we sharpen our focus and refine our niche, this global experience becomes one of our greatest strengths, ensuring we bring depth, maturity, and cross-border insight to every partnership.

At Ubuntu Freelancers, our vision has always been to create a bridge between talent and opportunity. This year’s statistics remind us that the bridge is working, and the possibilities ahead are only expanding.

Here is to a strong end to the year, and to an even more intentional and impactful 2026.
